Why Duggy exists
They work - until the club grows. Here's what changes the day you move the money into Duggy.
What Duggy is, who it's for, and why it's worth the switch.
Duggy is a shared account book built for a cricket club. Every top-up, charge and expense lives in one place, with a live running balance for every player. Think spreadsheet-meets-ledger, made for the person who holds the club's money.
No. Duggy doesn't do ball-by-ball scoring, live commentary or player stats. It handles the money side - contributions, match costs, tournaments and each player's balance.
Partly. Duggy manages your roster, invites and who played each match. But its heart is the shared ledger, not team selection or scoring.
Yes. At its core Duggy is contribution-based accounting for a cricket club - collecting money, splitting costs fairly and keeping an honest balance for everyone.
The person who ends up holding the club's money - captains, managers and treasurers who are tired of chasing players and reconciling a spreadsheet after every game.
It's built for cricket, so the language (matches, tournaments, playing XI) fits cricket best. But any group that splits shared costs can use the same ledger.
Yes. If your office team collects money for grounds, kit and matches, Duggy tracks it exactly the same way.
Absolutely - tennis-ball, leather-ball or box cricket. Duggy doesn't care what ball you use; it cares who played and who paid.
Yes. Academies use Duggy to collect monthly fees, track a per-student balance and record kit or coaching charges.
Yes. One sign-in can run several clubs, each with its own roster, ledger and plan. Switch between them from the club menu.
A spreadsheet can't split a match fee, carry an advance forward, or let a player see their own balance. Duggy does the maths automatically and every member gets their own statement - no formulas to break.
WhatsApp buries 'who paid' under a hundred messages. Duggy keeps one clear ledger, so there's no scrolling, no screenshots and no arguments about who still owes.
The fiddly bits - splitting a match, updating balances, sending reminders, tallying a tournament - happen automatically. The manual maths after every game effectively disappears.
Chasing players for money, forgetting who paid, re-doing the maths every week, and the awkwardness of asking. Duggy makes every balance visible so the numbers do the chasing for you.
How money moves - and why Duggy never touches it.
However your club already collects - UPI, cash or bank transfer. Duggy records the payment against the player and updates their balance. It's the record book, not the payment gateway.
Yes. On paid plans you can show a branded UPI QR; players scan and pay into your existing UPI, and you mark the top-up so it lands on their balance.
No - Duggy never touches your money, so it can't auto-confirm a transfer. You record the top-up when it arrives, which keeps you fully in control of the books.
Yes. Cash, bank transfer, anything - record it as a top-up and the balance updates just like a UPI payment.
Yes. Charge a monthly or seasonal subscription to any set of members; each charge lands on their balance and shows on their statement.
Yes. Every charge is per-member, so seniors, juniors, guests and regulars can all be billed differently.
Advances are welcome. A positive balance simply carries forward and is drawn down as they're charged for matches and expenses - nothing is lost.
Yes. Record an adjustment to return money or correct a balance; it shows transparently on their statement.
Yes. Add a sponsor or outside contribution to a match so it reduces what the players split - the sponsor's share never lands on anyone's balance.
Yes. Mark an invited or free player so they're counted in the game but not charged; the cost is split among the paying players.
Equally among the players you mark as having played, after any sponsor or outside contribution. Duggy does the division and updates each balance instantly.
Adding players, cleaning up the roster and moving your records.
Add them by name and mobile number, share a WhatsApp invite, or post one join link. You can also bulk-import an existing list from CSV on paid plans.
Yes. Share your join link (with an optional passcode) and players add themselves to the roster - no manual data entry for you.
Yes. Duggy generates an invite you can send straight over WhatsApp; the player claims their spot the moment they sign in.
Yes. Settle them to a zero balance and move them to the trash - they're hidden from the active roster but kept for your records.
Yes. If someone was added twice, merge the accounts into one clean history with all funds and charges intact.
Yes, on paid plans. Import members and historical statements from a CSV so your whole club moves over in minutes.
Yes. Export statements to CSV (on plans that include export) so your data is always yours to keep.
Yes. Nothing is auto-deleted - past matches, settled members and old statements stay on record for as long as your club is active.
Recording a game and splitting its costs fairly.
Create a match, mark who played, and add the expenses (ground, umpire, food…). Duggy splits the total and updates every player's balance.
Only the players you mark as having played - split equally, after any sponsor or free-player adjustments.
Just leave them off the playing list, or remove them before you save. They aren't charged for a match they didn't play.
Yes. Open the match, change the amounts or who played, and every affected balance recalculates automatically.
Yes - ground rent is a typical match expense. Add it and it's split with the rest.
Yes. Add umpire fees as an expense on the match and they're shared across the players.
Yes. Food, water, snacks - add any expense line to the match and it splits with everything else.
Yes, and that's the point - the split is based on who actually turned out, not who was invited.
Grouping games and splitting the total fee by appearances.
Group several matches under a tournament, mark who played each game, collect money as you go, and when you close it Duggy divides the total cost by appearances.
By appearances. Players who played more games pay proportionally more, so the fee is fair to anyone who missed matches.
Yes. Missing a game just means fewer appearances, so they pay a smaller share of the tournament total.
That's exactly how tournament fees work - the total is divided across appearances rather than a flat fee per head.
Yes. Add merchandise like jerseys or caps and charge them to whoever took them, separate from the appearance-based fee.
Yes, up to your plan's yearly limit. Each tournament keeps its own players, matches and kitty.
Selling kit to members and charging it to their balance.
Yes. Add jerseys to your club store with photos and a price; members order and the cost lands on their balance.
Yes. Members browse the store and request items; you fulfil the order and Duggy charges their balance automatically.
Anything - bats, balls, caps, kit bags. If it has a price, you can list it in the store.
Yes. Orders move from requested to fulfilled, so you always know what's pending and what's been handed over.
Yes. When you fulfil an order the amount is added to the member's balance - no separate invoice to chase.
What's free, what's paid, and how billing works.
Yes, there's a genuinely free plan - up to 20 players, 5 matches a month and the full ledger, with no card required.
Up to 20 players, 5 matches per month, a 3-item store and the complete contribution ledger and statements. UPI collection, CSV import/export, tournaments and custom branding are paid features.
Clubs run on seasons, not months, so one annual plan keeps billing simple - a modest yearly fee for an entire year of organised books, with no per-seat charges.
Free to try it, Starter for a small club that wants UPI collection and import, Captain for a growing club (the popular pick), and Master for large clubs and academies. Choose by your player count and match volume.
Yes, anytime. Upgrading raises your limits immediately and your data stays exactly as it is.
Yes. You can move to a lower tier; just make sure your usage fits the smaller plan's limits.
Refunds, where they apply, follow TinTorch's refund policy - billing is handled by TinTorch Account. Reach out and we'll help.
The Free plan is your open-ended trial - use it as long as you like and upgrade only when your club outgrows it.
Where your data lives and why it stays yours.
TinTorch is the secure sign-in and billing platform that powers Duggy. You use one TinTorch Account to log in and manage your subscription, so your identity and payments stay in one trusted place - it's free to create and takes a moment.
On secure servers in India (Mumbai).
Yes. Data is stored securely in India, access is tied to your TinTorch sign-in, and the ledger is tamper-evident - nothing is silently edited.
Every member sees their own full statement. A club-wide overview is there for managers, so you decide how much of the bigger picture the group sees.
You can export your records and walk away anytime - your data is yours, and nothing locks you in.
Statements export to CSV on plans that include export, so you can always take your records with you.
You do. Your club's data belongs to you; Duggy just stores and organises it.
Your records are exportable to CSV at any time, so you'd always be able to take your data with you.
Where Duggy runs and what your players need.
Yes - Duggy is on the App Store.
Yes - Duggy is on Google Play.
Yes. Duggy runs in any browser, so you can manage the club from a laptop as well as your phone.
No. As the manager you can run everything yourself; players only need the app or the web link if they want to see their own balance or use the store.
Duggy syncs online so your books are always current across every device. You'll want a connection to record payments and see up-to-date balances.
The real worries: will this actually work for my club?
The value is one-sided: you record, they simply see a clear balance. Players don't have to do anything for the books to stay correct - the app just makes it easy for them to check and pay.
No. Players get a link, sign in, and see their balance. The only person who needs to learn Duggy is you - and it's built to be obvious.
It removes work. The recording you already do (in a sheet or in your head) moves into Duggy, and the splitting, balances and reminders happen for you.
Yes. With CSV import you can bring your roster and past balances across in one sitting - most clubs are set up in well under an hour.
That's fine. You can run the whole club with no one else installing anything; the app is a convenience for them, not a requirement for you.
A few minutes for a fresh club - add players (or share the join link) and record your first match. Importing an existing club takes a little longer but is still an evening's job.
Everything rolls forward - balances, history and members carry into the next season. Nothing resets, so you keep one continuous record year after year.
